🔢Gripping with Numbers🔢
This fun, easy to set up DIY activity is all that you need for your toddler to improve his/her numbers skill and simultaneously developing his/her fine motor skill by using tongs/tweezers (to learn to grip) to strengthen his/her hand muscles 😎
Materials Required:
- Beads / Pom Pom
- Tea cups / Paper cups
- Pencil
- Tweezers/Tongs
How to Set Up and Play(Learn) With:
- Take the tea cups and write the numbers (Here we have used number names) that your little ones wants to learn as shown below
- Place the corresponding Pom Pom / Beads to that number names (or the numbers) written on (or in) the tea cups on a plate along with the tweezers/tongs
- Invite your little ones to read the number names (or the numbers) on the tea cups and count and take the Pom Poms/ Beads from the plate using the tongs/tweezers and drop them in their corresponding teacups as shown below
At first it was difficult for Baby Moo to pick up the Beads using the tong but later once he got the grip of it he enjoyed the activity and played (learnt) 😇
(With the Pom Poms it will be too easy to pick 👇🏻)
If your little ones are struggling to use tongs/tweezers you can ask your little ones to use only their thump and index finger to pick up the pom-poms/Beads (which would act as tongs) 😁
Make this wonderful hands on learning activity with your little one and have an excellent evening my lovelies 😍
Stay tuned!!! For more learning through play activities from the ChennaiMom 🙏🏻❤️
