🌳Apple Tree Counting🌳

By ChennaiMom

💁🏻‍♀️Counting using recycled materials are always perfect, to reinforce the number skills among the little ones. This mommy made activity is super cheap to make, learn, and play with 😎

Materials Required:

  • Cardboard
  • Bottle caps
  • Paints
  • Scissor
  • Cutter
  • Felt sheets (scrap)
  • Pencil

The Making:

  • Take cardboard (size is of your choice) draw a pair of apple trees as shown below 👇🏻

  • Using a cutter cut the outline of the apple trees as shown below 👇🏻

  • Draw ten circles on the crown and one circle on the trunk, keeping the bottle caps as the model 👇🏻

  • Glue both the tree together and let your little one paint them firsthand 👇🏻

  • Take the scrap (red) felt sheet cut small circles that fits onto the bottle caps with green felt leaf and brown stalk such that it looks like an apple 🍎
  • Also cut rough part of the Velcro and glue it onto the bottle caps (such that the apples made can be sticked by the little ones and taken off easily for other activities)

  • And for the numbers cut circles from the brown felt sheet, either write the numbers using paint (Color of your choice) or stitch the numbers onto the brown circle and glue them onto the bottle caps👇🏻

  • Finally, place the tree along with the bottle caps, felt apples, numbers and encourage your little one, to do some math counting play 😎

[👉🏻Either you can place the number on the trunk and let them place the corresponding apples on the crown or place the apples and they can count it and match the corresponding number or both👈🏻]

💁🏻‍♀️(We even made a flower) Make this super easy recycled activity at home and have a exquisite counting evening my lovelies 😍
