🎲Roll➕Make👉🏻Love Bug♥️
As we have stepped into the month of February we made some valentine special activities at home.. one of which was to make a DIY card for our love Bug (Dada). So to make the love bug and also to learn some basic math concepts of numbers we included dice 🎲 to help 😎
Materials Required:
- Cardstock paper/ any paper which is thick (any Color of your little ones choice)
- Pipe Cleaners (Color of your choice)
- Scissor
- Pencil
- Hole punch
- Googley eyes 👀
- Strong Glue
The Making:
- At first draw the love bug sample on a sheet of paper for a model to guide your little ones while making their own love bug
- Draw and cut the shape of the heart (2) on a cardstock paper (can even use white thick paper and let your little ones to Color it) and keep it aside
- Write your message(of your choice) on one heart as shown below
(Hole punch tool is used when making the legs and arms and also cut the pipe cleaners for mouth, nose, hands, legs and antennas)
- Place the other heart shape from the cardstock paper along with the materials required and Invite your little ones to roll the dice + count the dots + see the model paper 👉🏻 make their love bug 😎
[It was so fun for him as he kept on rolling the dice since the number kept repeating for a very long time… 😁
Finally he made his love bug!! Then… ]
- Glue one side of the made love bug on the (message written) heart as shown below 👇🏻
Thus our very own Love Bug card was ready to be given.. and also which was super special as it helped in Number Recognition by practising his Counting skills, Build his Fine Motor Coordination and Thinking Skill when he matched and determined which parts of the body to be made.
